Tania Mason

Tania Mason is a Sydney based artist who graduated from The National Art School in 2001 and is interested in a cross platform of creating art. Tania’s art practice involves a cross-over of many different mediums; charcoal, painting, ink, gouache, paper sculpture and animation. The main aspect of the proposed exhibition is a series of drawing’s and paintings that explore the concepts of neurological patterns and there formations within the human mind and natures complex geometric shapes. While the correlation's between the drawings, paintings and sculpture's will be an intent arrangement of colour, form and patterns. These arrangements exist secretly within the new work showcasing the natural ability nature has to constantly make connections with its surroundings.

“I have found over the years that my work does not just fit into the old of traditional art making. I have so many ideas that just aren’t pretty pictures on a wall but interactive, thought provoking and quite unique. The way I incorporate the cross-over of many different mediums; charcoal, ink, paper sculpture and animation. Generally in order to research a subject, I investigate the ideas and concepts by pursuing a long exploration of Photography, Photoshop,Drawing and Painting”.
