PRIMITIVE SHADOWS
Kenneth Craig Lambert
26 October – 20 November
Opening Wednesday 26 October 6 – 8pm
Primitive Shadows is the confluence of two areas of investigation. First, the “Primitive” reflects an instinctive response to the world we find ourselves in, a way of expressing our existence. The second theme, “Shadows”, is an articulation of Carl Jung’s archetype. This is the animal side of our personality, which is the source of both our creative and destructive energies, a reflection of our true selves.
As a trans-media artist Kenneth Craig Lambert’s practice explores themes of the collective conscience and psychology. Lambert utilises procedural algorithms in motion, static imagery and physical forms to deliver a hybrid art form. The artist strives to create an immersive experience enticing the viewer to look inward and discover the true nature of ourselves.
